Augustine is centrally located in the heart of Prague between Prague Castle and The Charles Bridge, in the picturesque Mala Strana District, Augustine the quintessence of Prague´s history, character and beauty. The hotel has been created from a set of seven buildings many of which have historical significance. The largest and most important is the thirtheen century Augustinian St. Thomas´s Monastery after which the hotel is named. Other former buildings include St. Thomas´s Brewery, The Ministery of the Interior and a hotel. Several practising monks live in separate quarters which are linked to the hotel. All of the 101 bedrooms and suites are different, with the majority boasting interesting architectural and structural characteristics including vaulted ceiling and beams to original doors. The hotel is directly linked to St. Thomas Catholic Church via private entrance which is ideal for wedding.
