The monastery was founded in 993 AD by Boleslav II and Bishop Adalbert. The Benedictine complex's current appearance, dating back to 1708 – 1745, is an example of High Baroque style. The monastery gardens are open to all and visitors may also take a guided tour. The Břevnov Monastery is also known for its brewery, the existence of which was documented as early as in the 13th century and whose production can be tasted in the monastery today.

In a church St. Marketa you can enter into marriage just religious ceremony.

Civil ceremony
For fiance, who are not baptized, can organize civil ceremony in the area of the monastery.

In the garden
The monastery garden is accessible to public park, so we can´t guarantee complete privacy. That's why we picked for you the meadow behind the Pavilion Vojteska, which provides more privacy, necessary to organize the wedding ceremony. In other parts of the Garden ceremony is not possible.

In Teresian Hall
Teresian Hall is the largest and the most beautiful of the halls of the monastery.
You can use a piano - you must ensure a pianist.

Wedding reception
In brevnov monastery you can oraginze wedding reception in a Klaster senk or in a representation room.

PARKING is possible in the parking in front of the gate to the monastery grounds or in front of its eastern front (Marketska street around the pond)
